2016.09.12 Field Hockey: Potomac Falls @ Riverside

Sterling, VA (September 12, 2016) – On a warm, but not stifling evening, four Loudoun County high school field hockey teams met to continue the growth and acceptance of this new sport. It's clear from the maturing level of play that the players and teams are increasing their skill, which makes the flow of play more even and exciting.

In the nightcap, the two teams entered with opposite records. Potomac Falls was 4-1 while Riverside was 1-4. That discrepancy was not obvious in the first half, however, as the Rams battled on almost equal footing with the Panthers. Only one goal, from Becca Lipschultz, separated the two teams at the break.

But Potomac Falls took over in the second half, amassing four more goals including another from Lipschultz and two from Serena Farmer.
